A highly experimental work, Psyche is equal parts music and sound collage.

Thematically, the album explores the slow decline of mental faculties that come with aging and dementia, such as the loss of precious memories and the inevitable break with reality.

Musically, I was heavily inspired by Boards of Canada, Akira Yamaoka (Silent Hill), Bonobo, Nine Inch Nails' "Ghosts", and various movie soundtracks from yesteryear.

Warped pianos, record player dust, jazz and funk drum breaks, trip-hop basslines, smeared field recordings, and swirling eddies of synth pads render this album in all its strangely beautiful glory.
